Hi, I’m Carl Stacey, a photography Enthusiast based in Piemonte, Italy.
My journey in photography began in the UK, where I studied at Barnstaple College, completing a BTEC qualification in Art and Design. Following my studies, I worked as an intern for a press agency, supplying images to both local and national newspapers. It was there that I developed a strong foundation in photography, learning traditional film processing, darkroom techniques, and the importance of creating images that tell a story.

Today, my work is primarily studio-based, with a particular focus on flash and strobe lighting. I am especially passionate about dance photography, capturing movement, strength, and emotion, while also enjoying fitness and fine art photography.
I work from two studios: one in Turin and another near Pinerolo, in the beautiful region of Piemonte.
Over the years, my images have appeared in a variety of publications, including The Times, Vanity Fair, and La Stampa. My dance photography has also been featured by Roberto Bolle for his OnDance event in Milan.
Whether creating striking portraits, dynamic dance imagery, or conceptual fine art projects, my goal is always the same: to create photographs that are both visually compelling and memorable.
